I had a hard time thinking abput someone I admire, because I still can't find someone who has left a mark on me.
These are dark and difficult times. Times full of injustice, many women feel anger and outrage. Yesterday, we realized that justice protects rapists more than women's rights.
So for this blog, I'm going to talk about a Chilean woman: Elena Caffarena
Elena Caffarena was a lawyer, jurist and figure of feminism in Chile. She is one of the most important public figures of the 20th century. She had a great sensitivity to social injustice, she dedicated her life to fight for the rights of the working class and the emancipation of women.
She was daughter of Italian immigrants, she was born in Iquique on March, 1903. She studied at University of Chile in the early twenties. At university she became interested in workshops for the education of workers. She formed the "movement for the emancipation of women in Chile" and she helped to write the female vote law. 

Elena Caffarena was a woman who during her long life successfully fought for the rights of all those who lived under injustice.

I decided to talk a little about her because she is a feminist woman, she is an important figure who fought for the rights of women. 

And now we must continue fighting to live in a calmer, more empathetic and just world.
